Hello everyone! If you're new to my blog then you probably won't know much about me so I thought we better get you caught up, basically...
I'm an 18 year old maniac from Bradford in West Yorkshire who is currently studying Fashion Communication at Northumbria University. I've always wanted to do fashion, I can't remember anything else I've ever been so in love with since an early age. My Mum often likes to tell the story of when I was three I wouldn't wear any outfit that didn't match in colour, even down to my knickers and socks!
Since then I've become more relaxed with colour, my usual style is quite laid back. I love wearing printed T-shirts and skinny jeans with my Doc Marten boots combined with a checkered shirt and my leather jacket. I love wearing dresses and skirts too because I love anything feminine however I don't often feel it due to my uncontrollable curly hair and my complete lack of grace and poise.
My second love after fashion is definitely music, I love rock music old and new with the occasional splash of indie (Well done to those of you who spotted the Nirvana reference in the title of this page). Music has a huge influence on my style because I use both music and fashion to express myself and my feelings and so many of my favourite musicians I look to for style inspiration such as Hayley Williams of Paramore.
My favourite designer when I was in my early teen years was Nina Ricci but now my favourite fashion houses include Chanel (obviously), Dolce & Gabanna and Peter Pilotto. My love for Chanel has definitely intensified recently as I've been able to concentrate on fashion and realise just how much Karl Lagerfeld does for fashion and how much of a hero he is to this industry. If I could ever meet anyone in the world for an afternoon it would be him because I think he could spark enough inspiration in me to last an entire life time in this industry from just a few hours in his presence.
So now I've rambled at you for a little while I think we understand each other a bit better now don't we? I hope you enjoy my blog.
